The role of a Housekeeping Helper at Hilton is pivotal in upholding the brand’s commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. As a Housekeeping Helper, the primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of designated areas within the hotel, including public spaces, offices, restrooms, banquet and meeting rooms. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all spaces meet Hilton’s stringent cleanliness and maintenance standards. The Housekeeping Helper works closely with housekeeping supervisors and other hotel staff to carry out daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and polishing floors. Additionally, the role involves waste disposal and the upkeep of ashtrays and other public amenities.

Beyond routine cleaning duties, the Housekeeping Helper plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by promptly and courteously addressing guest requests. Whether it is assisting with special cleaning needs in guest lodging or providing information and assistance to visitors, this position demands a proactive attitude and a friendly demeanor. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards

Job Duties

  • clean and maintain designated areas such as public spaces, offices, restrooms, banquet, meeting, and conference rooms to meet established cleanliness standards
  • dust and shine furniture and fixtures
  • vacuum, sweep, mop, and shampoo carpets
  • wash windows and buff floors
  • dispose of waste and ashtrays appropriately
  • greet guests amiably to enhance their experience
  • keep accurate records of all maintenance requests and completed repairs
  • plan and coordinate with management for timely and cost-effective replenishment of supplies
  • perform extensive cleaning duties and manage unique projects
  • carry out guest requests and assist in the cleanliness of guest lodgings as necessary
