The Housekeeping Attendant role at Trailhead Lodge is a vital position focused on maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor, this job is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, take pride in their work, and understand the significance of cleanliness in delivering outstanding guest experiences. The role includes servicing guest rooms by making beds, replenishing linens and amenities, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with the lodge's high standards. The attendant is also responsible for maintaining bathrooms, restocking guest amenities, cleaning public spaces and hallways, and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues. The position demands consistent attention to cleanliness, organization, and presentation, as well as self-checking rooms before marking them ready for guests.

Good communication and teamwork are essential components of this job, as the Housekeeping Attendant collaborates with housekeeping, guest experience, and facilities teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. The role requires maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor while interacting with guests and minimizing disruption in public areas. Dependability, punctuality, and adaptability are critical since the position directly impacts guest satisfaction and operates year-round with schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on occupancy.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting bending standing and walking for extended periods
  • 1+ years in a similar role
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset for guests coworkers and self
  • Follow all cleaning chemical handling and PPE procedures
  • Treat guests teammates supervisors and vendors with professionalism and respect
  • Maintain a clean professional appearance aligned with Trailhead Lodge standards
  • Remain adaptable and willing to support other housekeeping or operational needs as requested
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve skills
  • Minimum age 21+

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting bending standing and walking for extended periods
  • Proficient or comfortable in learning and using housekeeping or property management systems to update room status
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook Word Excel and Teams

Job Duties

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to Trailhead Lodge standards including making beds replenishing linens and amenities dusting vacuuming and sanitizing surfaces
  • Clean and maintain bathrooms including sinks toilets showers mirrors and floors using approved cleaning products and procedures
  • Restock guest rooms with towels linens toiletries and other standard amenities
  • Clean assigned public areas hallways and common spaces to ensure a consistently clean and welcoming environment
  • Identify and promptly report maintenance issues safety concerns or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Follow daily work assignments checklists and time standards provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping Guest Experience and Facilities teams to support room readiness and ensure smooth daily operations
