The Housekeeping Associate role plays an essential part within Bronson Healthcare Group, particularly at the Bronson Commons location. This is a full-time position on the first shift with 40 scheduled weekly hours, providing a supportive environment for employees, including sign-on and retention bonuses available for external candidates. The Housekeeping Associate works under the supervision of the Manager of Nutrition & Environmental Services and is responsible for maintaining assigned areas of the healthcare facility in a sanitary, orderly, and visually appealing condition. This position involves routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sanitizing patient rooms and bathrooms, restocking supplies, and ensuring linens and patient clothing are laundered and delivered properly.

The role requires effective verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate seamlessly with department staff, patients, visitors, and external customers at an eighth-grade level or above. Basic computer knowledge is also necessary to assist with everyday work functions and communication. Employees in direct patient care areas must demonstrate competency appropriate to the population served. The Housekeeping Associate engages in physically demanding tasks, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and handling equipment, and must maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across various facility areas such as lobbies, offices, stairwells, and utility rooms.

Key responsibilities extend to coordinating laundry-related functions, maintaining laundry equipment, and supporting waste disposal protocols by transporting trash and linen to designated areas. This role also includes interacting with visitors, ensuring that the environment within the healthcare setting promotes comfort and a sense of care. Job Duties

  • Dusts and cleans patients' rooms and bathrooms to maintain cleanliness and order
