Job Description
Stevens Park Health & Rehab is a respected non-profit healthcare facility dedicated to providing the highest level of care to its community. Renowned for its compassionate approach and commitment to excellence, Stevens Park Health & Rehab prioritizes the well-being of its residents and staff alike. This organization fosters a supportive work environment that values, recognizes, and rewards every team member for their vital contributions. Emphasizing a community-based mission, the facility is committed to supporting its employees both professionally and personally, ensuring they have the resources and leadership necessary to thrive inside and outside of the workplace.
The current opportunity is for a PRN Housekeeper position at Stevens Park Health & Rehab, offering a starting pay of $13.65 per hour with weekly pay. As a PRN (pro re nata or as-needed) employee, you will enjoy the flexibility to balance your work with other personal or professional commitments. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The housekeeper’s responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning duties to include ensuring infection control standards are rigorously followed and patient rights are consistently respected. By joining this dedicated team, you will play a critical part in promoting the health and safety standards that make Stevens Park Health & Rehab a trusted healthcare provider in the community.
As a housekeeper, your job will encompass a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks designed to uphold the highest hygiene standards throughout the facility. You will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, and maintaining tile and carpeted floors, including specialized treatments like spray buffing, stripping, or waxing where required. Careful attention to detail will be necessary when cleaning patient rooms, dining areas, bathrooms, and common spaces to ensure all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, glass, and floors, are immaculate and safe. The role also demands safe handling and proper storage of cleaning chemicals, adherence to safety procedures to prevent contamination, and consistent use of precautionary techniques, including isolation methods when necessary.
Effective communication and a warm, approachable attitude are key components of the role, as you may interact with patients, families, staff, and visitors. The position demands a reliable individual who can perform duties with minimal supervision while contributing positively to the team culture and organizational goals. This housekeeper role at Stevens Park Health & Rehab is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, respects patient privacy and dignity, and is dedicated to the overall success of a mission-driven healthcare environment.
