Sierra Tucson is currently seeking a Full Time Overnight Housekeeper to join its dedicated team. This position operates overnight from 8:00 pm to 6:30 am, offering a unique opportunity for individuals who thrive in evening work settings. The role is integral to ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy patient care environment by maintaining the facility’s sanitation standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing rigorous cleaning duties using appropriate germicides and methods to disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment, and supplies. This position also involves tasks such as moving and arranging furniture, handling linens, cleaning kitchens and utensils, and floor maintenance including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing. Maintaining the readiness of cleaning supplies and managing their proper storage is also critical. Additionally, the housekeeper will prepare rooms for meetings and events, ensuring the facility is well-presented and functions smoothly during these occasions.

Job Requirements

- previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred
- valid state driver’s license where required
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required with training available upon hire
- first aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements

Job Duties
- perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility
- disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment
- perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed
- launder soiled linens as directed
- maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use
- properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift
- prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions
- responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
- follow all infection control measures
- perform other functions and tasks as assigned
