Job Description

Westminster Oaks is a distinguished upscale Life Plan Community and Health Center located in Tallahassee. As a church-related, not-for-profit community service organization, Westminster Oaks is deeply dedicated to providing exceptional services for older adults and persons with special needs. The community’s mission is centered on creating and managing excellent residential and healthcare facilities that promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life for its residents. Known for its warm, welcoming environment and commitment to high standards, Westminster Oaks offers an inviting setting where seniors can enjoy independence, safety, and the support they need. The organization’s values emphasize compassion, respect, and care, which are reflected in every aspect of its operations and services.

The position available is a full-time Housekeeper role, working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of residential units, apartments, houses, and common areas within the community. The housekeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that living spaces are not only clean but also safe and pleasant for residents. The duties extend beyond routine housekeeping to include specialized cleaning of Health Center rooms, with attention paid to rooms before occupant move-ins and after move-outs, which is critical to infection control and resident wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming assigned work areas daily. A key part of this role includes maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas at least twice daily, as well as handling garbage removal, including biohazard waste, managed by a contracted vendor. The housekeeper also assists residents with cleaning duties as contracted, highlighting the role’s interaction with the resident community and its personalized service aspect.

Westminster Oaks offers a supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and values employee contributions. The position comes with competitive wages and a host of benefits designed to support employee health and wellbeing, including access to onsite fitness facilities, health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement. Flexible hours contribute to a balanced work-life experience. This opportunity is an excellent fit for individuals who have a passion for service, attention to detail, and a commitment to working in a healthcare-related setting with older adults. Those with previous experience in healthcare or senior living communities will find this role rewarding and impactful.

Candidates who join the Westminster Family will become part of a community that honors its employees and those who have served in the military. Westminster Oaks is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to diversity, fairness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements, including background screenings as per Florida state law. This position embodies the spirit of service that is central to Westminster Oaks’ identity, offering a rewarding career path within a respected organization that makes a difference in people's lives daily.
