Job Description

Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living is a beautiful 94-acre continuing care retirement community located in Short Pump, Virginia, just minutes from downtown Richmond. As a Housekeeper at Avery Point, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the community, which is a gated retirement setting that ensures all clients reside within the premises, eliminating the need for travel. This full-time role is scheduled during the morning shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $17, depending on experience. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning residents' homes in independent living areas and resident rooms in the nursing home. Duties include maintaining the cleanliness of community spaces with specialized equipment, cleaning public restrooms, lobbies, living rooms, classrooms, and other common areas by dusting, vacuuming, decluttering, and trash removal. You will also be tasked with spot cleaning walls, windows, switches, baseboards, pictures, lighting fixtures, and HVAC vents to maintain a pristine environment. Additionally, you will maintain carpeted surfaces through extraction, interim cleaning, spot cleaning, drying, and vacuuming, ensuring all areas meet the community’s high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Duties

  • cleaning resident’s homes in independent living or resident rooms in nursing home
  • maintaining cleanliness of the community through the use of specialized equipment
  • cleaning public bathrooms including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
  • cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents
  • cleaning classrooms including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
  • assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash as well as replacing trashcan liners
  • maintaining carpeted surfaces including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming
