Job Description

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is a leading not-for-profit organization specializing in the development, ownership, and operation of resort-style continuing care senior living communities. With a portfolio of 28 communities across 9 states and a dedicated workforce of over 8,500 team members, Acts offers a diverse range of living options including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. Each community is designed to provide residents with a comfortable and fulfilling lifestyle featuring amenities such as casual and fine dining venues, beauty salons, fitness centers, comprehensive security measures, healthcare services, and a variety of engaging activity programs.

At Acts, the culture is deeply rooted in the principle of Loving-Kindness, fostering an environment that values diversity, inclusion, and the unique talents each team member brings. The organization is committed to equal employment opportunities and actively ensures that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration without discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. In addition, Acts provides reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process for candidates with disabilities.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Housekeepers. This entry-level position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the well-being and comfort of our senior residents by maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of their living environments. The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, and other assigned spaces. Utilizing a variety of cleaning tools and equipment including microfiber mops, small wringers, dusters, household vacuum cleaners, and other necessary supplies, the Housekeeper helps ensure a safe, hygienic, and pleasant atmosphere for residents and staff alike.

The role is ideal for candidates who have a high school diploma or equivalent and are looking for on-the-job training to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic setting. Compensation ranges from $15.45 to $18.16 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level. A standout benefit of joining Acts is the PayActiv program, which allows employees to receive next-day pay for the hours they have worked, providing financial flexibility and peace of mind.

Beyond competitive pay, Acts Retirement-Life Communities offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and professional growth of our team members. Benefits include health coverage encompassing medical, prescription, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance programs, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match after one year of service, paid time off and holidays, and various wellness and professional development initiatives. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, scholarship awards, referral and discount programs, university partnerships, regular appreciation events, and much more.

This role requires compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process to ensure the safety and security of our residents. Applicants are encouraged to visit Acts’ website at www.acts-jobs.org to learn more about this opportunity and to join our Talent Network, which provides email alerts for new job openings aligned with their interests.
