The Housekeeper I position at MemorialCare, located in Fountain Valley, represents a critical role within the Housekeeping Department. This full-time evening shift position offers a competitive pay range from $23.00 to $28.64 per hour, reflecting factors such as relevant work experience and qualifications. The role focuses on maintaining hospital facilities in a clean, neat, orderly, and sanitary condition, which is essential for supporting patient safety and overall hospital operations. Responsibilities include performing a variety of housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, moving furniture and equipment, and using appropriate cleaning supplies in accordance with established procedures. Housekeepers also play an important role in infection control by handling biohazard waste safely, changing linen bags, and responding appropriately to emergency situations related to patient and building safety following hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

This position demands exceptional attention to safety, including the proper use of wet floor signs and adherence to safe work practices within patient settings. The ability to follow directions accurately, prioritize workload efficiently, multitask, and maintain punctuality are key components for success in this role. Employees are expected to interact positively and constructively with team members and hospital staff, contributing to a harmonious and productive environment. Beyond base pay, additional financial incentives such as shift differentials, extra shift bonuses, and other reward opportunities are often available. MemorialCare also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes multiple high-quality health insurance options, designed to promote employee health and wellness. Candidates with experience in the hospitality or healthcare sectors are especially encouraged to apply, given the relevance of these backgrounds to the duties involved. The Housekeeper I role at MemorialCare is ideal for individuals committed to delivering excellent custodial services in a healthcare setting, who value workplace stability, professional growth, and the satisfaction of supporting patient-centric care through clean and safe environments.
