Buckner Retirement Services is currently seeking a Housekeeper to join their community at The Stayton at Museum Way, located in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a full-time onsite position aimed at maintaining outstanding cleanliness and hygiene standards in the facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in all phases of cleanliness, ensuring that the living and working environments meet or exceed Buckner’s rigorous quality, service, and hospitality standards. The Housekeeper contributes significantly to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff alike. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service complemented by courteous and respectful interactions. As a Housekeeper at Buckner, your responsibilities will include cleaning and servicing various areas such as resident rooms, baths, offices, and common spaces. You will be tasked with dusting furniture and equipment, cleaning windows, polishing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and managing waste disposal. Additionally, the role involves mopping and vacuuming floors, mixing and using housekeeping chemicals safely, and assisting other departments as needed. Maintaining organizational standards in the linen closet and utility storage areas is also an important aspect of the job. The position demands physical ability to handle cleaning equipment, move furniture safely, and maintain consistent attention to confidentiality. Buckner seeks candidates with an in-depth understanding of housekeeping operations and a basic knowledge of cleaning tools and sanitation processes. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for understanding and following instructions. - Prior related experience preferred
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents
- ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility daily
- ability to maintain confidentiality

- strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service
Job Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of all phases of housekeeping operations
- basic knowledge of house cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, etc.
- cleaning agents and sanitation and cleaning requirements
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- proficient ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions given in English
Job Duties
- Perform all duties in a courteous manner and maintain excellence in customer service including but not limited to cheerfully greeting residents and visitors and exercising respect with co-workers
- Clean and service rooms, baths, and offices
- dust furniture and equipment
- clean windows, window sills, light globes
- empty trash baskets and remove trash
- clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar items
- replenish supplies of soap and towels
- clean and polish brass, glass panels, doors, partitions, and paneling
- check and fill all dispensers including hand soap and paper
- Clean, mop, and treat floors
- Vacuum all carpet
- Mix and dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions
- Move furniture as needed in accordance with safety policies and procedures
- Assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments
- Keep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floors
- Organize and maintain linen closets in a safe and orderly condition at all times
