Abbotswood at Stonehenge is a distinguished community dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences. Part of the Kisco Senior Living portfolio, which has been a dynamic and award-winning leader in the senior living industry for over 30 years, Abbotswood at Stonehenge emphasizes creating a great place to live for its residents and a welcoming, supportive environment for its associates. Kisco Senior Living’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its comprehensive services and high standards of care, making it a trusted name in senior living.
The Housekeeper role at Abbotswood at Stonehenge is vital in maintaining the clean, safe, and sanitary conditions that contribute significantly to the well-being and comfort of residents and guests. This full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $16.50 to $17.00. Working as a housekeeper here means more than just cleaning; it means delivering exemplary customer service with meticulous attention to detail while fostering a warm, secure, and friendly environment.
Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning assigned apartments and community rooms, ensuring all areas meet health and sanitation standards that promote resident welfare. This role also encompasses the handling and management of linens, towels, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts, making the job efficient and organized. Additionally, housekeepers change bed linens and assist with resident and community laundry as needed. These duties help maintain a hygienic and comfortable living space, crucial for senior residents’ health and happiness.
The role requires a candidate with at least a high school education and six months to one year of housekeeping experience. Preference is given to those with experience working in senior living or related environments. Candidates should also demonstrate basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
Abbotswood at Stonehenge offers an attractive benefits package including paid vacation, sick time, and seven paid holidays. Full-time employees receive excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401K matching program. Employees also enjoy free meals during each shift, providing convenience and added care. Continuous training and growth opportunities highlight the company’s commitment to its employees’ professional development and career progression.
Safety and compliance remain top priorities, with all offers of employment contingent on passing a pre-employment process that includes drug screening, a job-specific physical, TB testing, and a background check. The company covers all costs associated with these pre-hire requirements, reflecting its dedication to maintaining a safe workplace for residents and staff alike.
Abbotswood at Stonehenge and Kisco Senior Living take pride in being equal opportunity employers, valuing diversity and inclusion in their hiring practices. Joining this team means becoming part of a community focused on caring for seniors with respect, kindness, and professionalism, while enjoying the support and benefits of a well-established and reputable organization.
