The Village is an active 60+ Life Plan Retirement Community located in Hemet, California, offering residents a comprehensive range of care services including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing. Known for its vibrant lifestyle and welcoming environment, The Village has earned the distinction of being voted the Best Senior Living Community in the Inland Empire for 18 consecutive years. This esteemed community provides residents with enriching wellness programs, lifelong learning opportunities, live entertainment, and five-star dining experiences, all designed to support a high quality of life and foster social engagement among its senior population.
The Village prides itself on fostering a family-friendly, resident-centered environment that embraces the dignity, comfort, and joy of every individual it serves. The community believes in the power of collaboration among its associates—from front-line staff to caregivers, clinical team members, and management—to ensure that operations run smoothly and residents receive personalized attention and care. This commitment to excellence permeates every aspect of life at The Village, reflecting its mission to support older adults in all stages of aging with kindness and respect.
The role available at The Village is a key housekeeping position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of both the community spaces and resident apartments. This position is vital to the overall well-being of residents, as a clean and safe environment contributes directly to health and quality of life. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties, such as vacuuming carpeted rooms, sweeping and mopping tile floors in bathrooms and kitchens, emptying laundry carts, cleaning bathroom fixtures including sinks, showers, baths, and toilets, as well as cleaning mirrors. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to move furniture when necessary to thoroughly clean resident living areas.
Additionally, the role involves changing bedding and turning mattresses regularly to maintain a fresh and comfortable living environment. The housekeeper will participate actively in team efforts to uphold the community’s high standards of cleanliness and safety, always being alert and supportive of The Village's commitment to infection control, safe practices, and respect for residents’ rights. The position also requires vigilance in keeping track of residents’ personal belongings to avoid loss or misplacement.
The Village values experience and encourages applicants with prior housekeeping or related experience to apply, although training is provided. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $17.75 to $18.25 per hour depending on experience. In addition to wages, employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package, making this a rewarding opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful work in a supportive environment with residents who appreciate their care and dedication.
Overall, this housekeeping role at The Village is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, committed to teamwork, and passionate about supporting the well-being of seniors. The community’s warm and inclusive atmosphere provides a fulfilling work setting where every team member plays a crucial role in enhancing the daily lives of residents. If you value collaboration, kindness, and meaningful contribution to senior care, this position offers an excellent career opportunity within a recognized and respected organization.
