Alto Grayslake, a community operating under Allegro Living, is currently seeking a Full-Time Housekeeping Attendant for their Assisted Living and Memory Care facility located at 1865 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030. This position offers a stable work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with starting pay at $17.00 per hour. The Housekeeping Attendant plays a vital role on the Environmental Services team, ensuring that all residential and common areas are impeccably maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is a perfect opportunity for individuals passionate about housekeeping, hospitality, or environmental services within healthcare settings, senior living communities, or commercial environments.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working collaboratively in team settings. Experience in housekeeping, whether in senior living, hotels, healthcare facilities, or commercial cleaning, is preferred but not mandatory as long as the individual demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining pristine living and communal spaces. The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for clean vacant and occupied apartments using company checklists, ensuring proper use and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment, and contributing to a clean, safe, and organized living environment that supports the wellbeing and comfort of all residents. Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • must have a positive criminal background screening
  • the community is a drug free workplace, associates are subject to adherence to the company drug free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred
  • knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong attention to detail and organization
  • dependable, professional, and service-oriented

Job Duties

  • Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using company checklist
  • report any problem areas to the housekeeping supervisor
  • clean occupied apartments, respite and guest apartments as scheduled using company checklist
  • report any problem areas to the housekeeping supervisor
  • detail clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the housekeeping supervisor
  • keep inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure an adequate supply
  • report items needed to the housekeeping supervisor
  • keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized
  • clean lint from dryer lint traps daily and clean area behind washer and dryer equipment weekly
  • perform other duties as assigned
