We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate housekeeping professionals to join our team during the evening shift. The housekeeping role at Community Medical Center is critical in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our healthcare environment. This is a full-time position offering an hourly wage of $19.00 with alternating weekends off, providing a balanced work schedule. The evening shifts are from 3 pm to 11:30 pm and 5 pm to 1:30 am, designed to ensure continuous coverage and a consistently clean environment for our patients and staff.

As a Hospital Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in providing a superior level of cleaning quality throughout the facility. Your duties will include cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, common areas, and other hospital spaces to hospital standards following strict Health and Human Services (HHS) cleaning procedures and best practices. This role is vital for creating a safe and comfortable environment conducive to patient recovery.

The Housekeeper is expected to work as part of a collaborative team, offering friendly and professional service to all individuals within the hospital. This includes assisting colleagues and management to promote an efficient and smoothly operating department. The job requires physical stamina to perform tasks like standing, walking, squatting, bending, pushing carts weighing over 100 pounds, and handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene be neatly groomed and be in uniform
  • Ability to stand walk squat bend twist kneel and reach continuously throughout a shift
  • Ability to push and pull carts or equipment over 100 lb on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
  • Must handle chemicals including bleach wax and disinfectants
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
  • Pass background check drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred housekeeping experience such as cleaning environmental services custodian janitorial room attendant floor care technician hotel operations healthcare

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned areas of the hospital including patient rooms common areas restrooms and more
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
  • Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
