Waltonwood is a well-established senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional living environments and quality care for its residents. Renowned for its commitment to excellence, Waltonwood blends comfort, care, and community to create welcoming places that support the unique needs of seniors. As a respected leader in senior living, Waltonwood emphasizes a holistic approach to resident satisfaction—ensuring that every individual enjoys a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. With a dedicated team that includes healthcare professionals, maintenance staff, and hospitality personnel, the community thrives on collaboration and shared goals to maintain high standards throughout its properties.
The Maintenance Department at Waltonwood plays a vital role in the ongoing success of each community by managing utilities, grounds, and building upkeep in a professional and efficient manner. Central to this department are the housekeepers, who are self-motivated and customer-service oriented individuals essential to creating and maintaining a sanitary and inviting environment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Director or Housekeeping Supervisor, housekeepers at Waltonwood are responsible for thorough cleaning and general upkeep of apartments and common areas.
The role of a housekeeper at Waltonwood goes beyond mere cleaning. It involves creating a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment that positively impacts the day-to-day lives of residents and visitors alike. Housekeepers maintain high standards of cleanliness by attending to bathrooms, windows, blinds, floors, and furniture, as well as managing laundry duties. They also sanitize high-touch areas regularly to prevent contamination and ensure adherence to safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and compliance with safety data sheets. This attention to detail not only safeguards residents' health but also enhances their comfort and overall experience.
Housekeepers build rapport with residents, responding to their needs thoughtfully and promptly, thereby fostering a welcoming and supportive community atmosphere. They are required to maintain accurate records of cleaning and laundry schedules and submit work orders when maintenance issues arise. Flexibility is key, as housekeepers assist with a variety of tasks as delegated by the Maintenance Director.
Waltonwood values attributes such as integrity, trust, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for serving seniors—all crucial competencies for success in this role. Regular attendance, punctuality, and teamwork are equally stressed, reinforcing the community-focused culture at Waltonwood. Housekeepers are recognized as important team players who contribute to the collective goal of delivering outstanding senior living experiences.
This position is ideal for individuals with previous professional cleaning experience, especially those experienced in healthcare or long-term care settings who are dependable, organized, and capable of working independently with sound judgment. Physical demands are significant, requiring stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Despite the physical nature of the work, housekeepers at Waltonwood find reward in delivering vital services that enhance the lives of seniors in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Overall, the Housekeeper role at Waltonwood offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated and caring community. It provides meaningful work that supports the well-being of senior residents, making each day fulfilling as housekeepers contribute directly to the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of the community spaces.
Position type is typically full-time or part-time as required, with competitive pay based on experience and responsibilities. Waltonwood is committed to fostering an enriching workplace where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute their best. If you have a passion for seniors and take pride in maintaining clean and safe environments, this role will allow you to make a difference every day in people’s lives.
