The Housekeeper position at Steere House Nursing and Rehab Center in Providence, Rhode Island, is a part-time role offering an hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.00. This role requires the individual to perform various light cleaning duties to maintain the establishment in a clean and orderly condition. Job duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming, and other housekeeping responsibilities. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Ability to respond promptly to housekeeping requests
- Willingness to work part-time with varied schedule including rotating weekends
- Ability to maintain professionalism with customers and coworkers
- Willingness to comply with company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
- Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
- Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
- Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
- Empties and cleans trash containers
- Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
- Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- Wipes down glass surfaces
- Makes up beds and changes linens as required
- Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- Responds to guest queries and requests
- Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
- Contributes to team efforts

- Performs other duties as assigned
