Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and reach for long periods
- ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
- clear and distinct speech
- willing to wear uniform and hair net in food production areas
- must work in a non-smoking environment
- knowledge of health codes
- Serve-Safe certification or willingness to obtain
- possession or willingness to apply for ABC and Beer Cards
- must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug test
- flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in kitchen management or supervisory role in a hospitality food service environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Serve-Safe certification or willingness to become certified
- experience with menu development and food cost management
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- knowledge of local health codes
- ability to maintain positive guest relations
- familiarity with hotel services and local attractions
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen and kitchen personnel
- ensure the quality preparation of all menu items
- coordinate the purchase of all food
- develop menus maintaining approved food and labor costs
- maintain compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- supervise sanitation, upkeep, and food safety standards
- anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations
- monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas
- review daily activities including house count, forecasted covers, catering activity, purchases, and meetings
- assign production and prep tasks to staff
- resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
- perform other duties as assigned
