Regal embraces innovation in technology and marketing strategies to remain competitive and responsive to industry trends and consumer preferences. It offers career growth opportunities and flexible employment types, including full-time and part-time positions, catering to diverse workforce needs.
The Assistant Manager role at Regal is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and supervision of a theater and its employees. This full-time hourly position, or part-time with variable hours, involves acting as a representative of Regal in accordance with its mission statement and policies. The Assistant Manager is responsible not only for operational oversight but also for fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires hands-on involvement in daily theater activities such as operating projection and audio-visual equipment, training and coaching staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including alcohol service certifications where applicable. The Assistant Manager monitors risk management practices concerning employee and patron safety, loss prevention, and emergency response. Additionally, duties extend to financial responsibilities like counting and reconciling receipts, controlling costs, and overseeing concession and café stock inventory.
The position demands a combination of leadership skills, operational knowledge, and customer service excellence. It includes performing staff roles when necessary to maintain seamless theater functions. Managers participate actively in marketing and promoting feature film engagements and ensuring timely and effective communication of show schedules. The role requires familiarity with theatre maintenance, minor repairs, and teamwork with qualified personnel for larger maintenance issues. The Assistant Manager must also complete or be in the process of completing the company's management certification program and demonstrate an understanding of Regal's Rules of Management (ROM).
This career opportunity at Regal Cinemas is ideal for individuals who have supervisory experience or theater operational background and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be legally eligible to work in roles involving the sale and service of alcohol, where applicable, and committed to meeting company standards of dress code, attendance, and policy adherence. The Assistant Manager plays a significant role in employee relations including hiring, discipline, and coaching under guidance from General Managers and Human Resources. This position supports Regal's goal to provide a safe, efficient, and enjoyable movie-going experience for all guests with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence, making it a critical role in the organization.
