Currently, Towne Park is inviting dedicated individuals to join their team as Guest Service Associates at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. This position is integral to the company's operations, as it involves managing guest parking services and providing attentive hospitality to enhance the guest experience. The role is offered on both full-time and part-time bases with flexible scheduling options, making it suitable for a variety of lifestyles and availability. Shift examples range across morning, afternoon, and evening times, catering to the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry.
As a Guest Service Associate, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and professionally, assisting with vehicle parking and retrieval, managing luggage services, and offering directions and local information to guests. The position demands someone who can operate safely and efficiently, maintaining a pleasant demeanor while adhering to all safety protocols and operational guidelines. Compensation for this role includes an hourly base pay ranging between $9 and $11, complemented by tips ranging from $14 to $16 per hour, along with potential eligibility for shift differentials at certain sites.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or commutable distance from that state
- one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with numbers and money
- ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- ability to understand applicable rates
- physical ability to perform duties including parallel parking and manual transmission operation
- ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
- one (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English language
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
- ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- uses guest last names during interactions
- uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
- explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
- consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
- calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
