Job Description
Hyatt Regency Milwaukee is a premier full-service hotel located in the heart of Milwaukee, known for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to both business and leisure travelers. As a part of the globally recognized Hyatt Hotels Corporation, this property offers guests a blend of comfortable accommodations, state-of-the-art meeting spaces, and a vibrant atmosphere that caters to diverse event needs. The hotel prides itself on its commitment to quality service, elegant event venues, and a dynamic team environment focused on professional growth and guest satisfaction. As a favored destination for corporate events, social gatherings, and leisure activities, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee provides ample opportunities for professional development in the hospitality and sales industries.
This role is focused on leading the sales efforts for business transient and corporate accounts while maximizing group sales across business, social, and leisure segments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of sales activities, including local and national corporate account relationships, proactive outreach through various networking channels, and managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. A key part of the position involves acting as the market champion by cultivating strong relationships, hosting tours, and confidently showcasing the property to potential clients. The role also demands a strategic alignment of group sales initiatives with hotel occupancy goals, meeting room revenue targets, and overall financial objectives.
The candidate will lead efforts to grow revenue from the hotel's 3000-square-foot conference center, managing all aspects of event billing, execution, and client communication. Coordination with preferred catering partners and other venue staff is essential to ensure seamless event experiences. Additionally, the role includes marketing responsibilities such as managing social media accounts, maintaining the hotel’s internet presence across various platforms, partnering with the Hyatt Field Marketing team to audit advertising spend, and creating marketing collateral to support local advertising campaigns and internal communications. The incumbent will also be tasked with developing strategies to increase revenue from specialized offerings such as the Top Golf Swing Suite through local collaborations.
Financial management is integral to this role, as the selected candidate will collaborate with ownership to determine the budget for the upcoming year, focusing on revenue generation, group sales, and meeting room utilization. Monitoring booking pace and maintaining on-the-books documentation for meetings will ensure that sales targets are met and financial goals are communicated effectively to ownership on a weekly basis. Compensation includes a performance-based bonus on group sales and an uncapped 5-percent commission on meetings and events, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding sales excellence.
Hyatt Regency Milwaukee offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and a technology package, further supporting the well-being and professional needs of its employees. This role is critical to the hotel’s continued success in attracting and servicing top-tier clientele, enhancing event revenues, and maintaining Hyatt’s reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.
