AvantStay is a dynamic and innovative hospitality company specializing in delivering exceptional and unique stays specifically designed for group travelers. As a tech-enabled millennial hospitality brand, AvantStay has positioned itself as a leader within the rapidly expanding short-term rental (STR) industry, which is valued at over 100 billion dollars. The company leverages technology to provide seamless guest experiences, marrying modern convenience with personalized services to set a new standard in group travel accommodations. Backed by substantial venture funding, AvantStay is experiencing rapid growth, expanding its footprint and market influence, and continuously innovating to meet the evolving needs of travelers. Known for its commitment to superior guest services and operational excellence, AvantStay invites prospective team members who are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking company that values inclusivity and creativity.
The Hotel Operations Manager role at AvantStay’s Laguna Beach Market is a pivotal leadership position focused on ensuring smooth local operations and delivering an unparalleled guest experience. This position is responsible for overseeing all key aspects of onsite hotel operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and guest programming. Acting as the primary on-site leader, the manager works collaboratively with various teams, including guest experience agents, housekeeping staff, maintenance technicians, and safety officers, to maintain high operational standards and foster a welcoming environment for both guests and employees.
Within this multifaceted role, the Hotel Operations Manager coordinates daily activities such as managing labor and payroll, conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms, ensuring efficient room turnovers, and handling guest complaints with a customer-first approach. Furthermore, the role includes strategic responsibilities like optimizing operational costs by reducing reliance on third-party vendors and enhancing the in-house maintenance and housekeeping capabilities. This manager also curates engaging guest programming, including events like live music, yoga classes, and art exhibits, which enhance the property’s appeal and guest engagement.
The position requires strong leadership qualities to train, mentor, and motivate staff while scheduling and leading team meetings to align on operational priorities and overcome challenges. Additionally, the manager collaborates closely with the Safety Officer to maintain a secure and compliant environment, addressing safety protocols and policy enforcement rigorously.
This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 plus a performance-based bonus, reflecting skills and experience. The role invites candidates who value a flexible and dynamic work schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays, consistent with hospitality industry demands. AvantStay provides generous benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; flexible paid time off; retirement savings plans; paid parental leave; and various reimbursements to support employee wellbeing.
Joining AvantStay means working in a vibrant, collaborative, and mission-driven environment where innovation and excellence are prioritized. Employees are empowered to craft their own paths for growth and success within the travel and real estate sectors, supported by a company culture that embraces diversity, equality, and inclusion. AvantStay is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, celebrating the unique backgrounds and perspectives of all employees as a core strength of the company.
