Redmond Inn is a well-established hotel located at 17601 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manager on Duty to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day operations of the hotel while upholding the high standards that Redmond Inn is known for. The Manager on Duty will supervise a team of employees across various departments, ensuring smooth operations and excellent delivery of services. This role involves direct interaction with guests, managing reservations, handling guest concerns, and leading housekeeping efforts when necessary.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, problem-solving capabilities, and adaptability to a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets and financial performance, developing and implementing growth strategies, and monitoring market trends to keep the hotel competitive. The Manager on Duty must be adept at maintaining employee morale, facilitating training and development, and managing employee relations effectively.

This role also requires a proactive approach to guest services, with a focus on resolving complaints with professionalism and grace. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable performing some light cleaning duties and be ready to support the housekeeping department, especially in the absence of the Head Housekeeper. A valid driver license is required to occasionally support hotel shuttle needs.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Valid driver license
  • Flexibility to work day and evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Pass a standard background check

Job Duties

  • Manage a team of employees, including setting performance expectations, providing training and development, and managing employee relations
  • Manage reservations and check guests in and out using a computerized system
  • Develop and implement strategies for growth and success, including identifying new opportunities and improving existing processes
  • Monitor market trends and adapt to changing business needs
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with grace and professionalism
  • Perform light cleaning duties, such as wiping down counters and restocking supplies
  • Must be able to lead housekeeping department as needed, particularly in absence of Head Housekeeper
