Job Requirements

  • At least six years progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and guests

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Participate in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts, meeting clients, hosting events, and client engagement
  • Tour operating departments daily to ensure smooth operations and staffing
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with operational department heads to review financials, goals, and performance
  • Attend operational line ups weekly across key departments
  • Meet financial review deadlines and corporate program requirements
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and follow accounting procedures
  • Develop future managers through competency and corporate training programs
  • Participate in required management on duty (M.O.D.) coverage
  • Maintain and monitor the Lobby Ambassador program effectiveness
  • Maintain contact with and development of management trainees
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures among management
  • Assist in budget and monthly forecast processes
  • Ensure departmental service standard training
  • Manage payroll procedures including overtime and meal break compliance
  • Enforce PCI compliance among operational departments and vendors
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on guest service through employee development
  • Regularly inspect rooms with housekeeping and engineering
  • Ensure timely invoice processing via accounts payable
  • Submit financial documents to corporate office per monthly schedule
  • Maintain property cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs
  • Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, and efficient
  • Forecast monthly financial position and analyze data for reforecasting
  • Conduct operational management hiring interviews and compliance
  • Perform management performance appraisals and coaching
  • Motivate and discipline management staff per policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership
  • Ensure fair and equitable employee treatment
  • Meet clients and assist with property sales efforts
  • Engage with guests in public areas during peak times
  • Ensure security procedures for hotel safe and monthly audits
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
  • Complete required corporate training and certifications
  • Schedule and conduct all required property meetings
  • Co-conduct daily weekly business review meetings with Director of Sales
