Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 years progressively responsible experience in hotel management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with budget management and financial forecasting

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years of related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently for light work
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify employee and guest concerns
- Multitasking and prioritization skills
- Service-oriented and courteous manner in interactions
- Attendance at required meetings and trainings
- Participation in management on duty coverage

Job Duties
- Tour operating departments daily, making necessary adjustments with department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions according to Highgate Hotel standards
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate-directed program deadlines
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
- Develop management staff through competency and corporate-sponsored training
- Collaborate with Director of Sales to conduct daily sales meetings and drive prospecting efforts
- Participate actively in hotel sales, including client meetings and hosting events
- Provide management coverage as required
- Monitor management trainee development
- Adhere to company policies and train new managers on compliance
- Assist in the hotel budget process
- Ensure service standards training compliance across departments
- Foster a positive, guest-focused team environment
- Conduct regular room inspections with housekeeping and engineering
- Oversee daily invoice processing and compliance with accounting calendar
- Maintain property cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure employees provide attentive, friendly, and efficient guest service
- Forecast and analyze the hotel's financial position monthly
- Conduct management interviews and follow hiring standards
- Perform performance appraisals and manage staff coaching and disciplinary processes
- Assist with executive responsibilities as directed
- Ensure fair treatment of all employees
- Engage with clients on the property to support sales efforts
- Maintain a presence in public areas during peak times to greet guests
- Manage hotel safe procedures and monthly audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit policies
- Complete required corporate training and certification
- Coordinate scheduled property meetings
