Job Description

MCR is the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, renowned for its extensive portfolio and commitment to excellence in hospitality. Founded in 2006, MCR has established offices in key cities such as New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia. The company manages a $5.0 billion portfolio comprising 148 premium-branded hotels with over 22,000 guestrooms spread across 37 states and 106 cities. With a workforce of more than 7,000 team members nationwide, MCR operates hotels under nine Marriott brands, eight Hilton brands, as well as a variety of unflagged independent hotel properties. This diversity speaks to MCR’s versatile and prominent position in the hospitality industry. The company has also earned recognition for its innovation and operational excellence, including being named one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020 and receiving multiple prestigious awards such as the Marriott Partnership Circle Award and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer.

The Housekeeper role at MCR is a vital position responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This role involves completing pre-cleaning duties like stocking room supplies and tools on assigned work carts and assisting with linen handling in the housekeeping laundry room. Housekeepers are expected to thoroughly clean and restock the assigned guest rooms each shift according to company standards, maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene. Additionally, they undertake other cleaning projects as directed, including deep cleaning of guest rooms, maintaining storage rooms, public spaces, and guest laundry areas. All areas, front and back of house, should be kept well organized and immaculate to enhance the guest experience.

Candidates for this role should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, coupled with the ability to follow established guidelines and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to engage in conflict resolution effectively to address issues raised by guests or co-workers. A genuine desire to serve guests and contribute to their satisfaction is essential. This role requires employees to be at least 18 years of age and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on hotel needs.

Physically, the job requires meeting various demands such as stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking long distances, and performing repetitive motions with the wrists and hands. Housekeepers must also be capable of lifting items including linens, trash, and vacuums. Attention to physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols is critical for success in this role.

MCR offers competitive benefits such as hotel discounts, weekly pay, paid time off, retirement options, referral bonuses, and opportunities for career advancement and upward mobility. Health, dental, and vision insurance options are available for full-time team members after 30 days of employment. Joining MCR means becoming part of a dynamic and award-winning hospitality leader committed to team member growth and guest satisfaction.
