The Room Attendant role at First Hospitality is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Room Attendants are responsible for maintaining immaculate guest rooms and public areas, adhering strictly to brand standards to provide a welcoming and relaxing environment for hotel guests. This position demands strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the brand’s expectations for cleanliness and presentation. Beyond cleaning, Room Attendants actively engage with guests, building rapport, identifying needs, and addressing any concerns promptly. Their proactive approach helps prevent guest challenges by conducting inspections and communicating any maintenance issues found during their work.

This full-time role involves standing and walking frequently during shifts of 8 or more hours, requiring good physical stamina. Room Attendants must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds and perform various physical movements such as bending, stooping, and pivoting regularly. A crucial aspect of the job is professionalism, both in guest interactions and in adhering to safety and emergency procedures. Job Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • 8+ hours per day

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping preferred
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Customer service oriented
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Clean and style hotel rooms and public areas efficiently, to brand expectations, and with great attention to detail
  • Refresh and replenish guest rooms with amenities, supplies, linen, and applicable collateral to ensure all items are available for guest use according to brand standard
  • Take proactive approach to prevent guest challenges by inspecting work, identifying and communicating maintenance concerns, and replacing items when necessary
  • Effectively engage and build rapport with guests to identify needs and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Take ownership to resolve guest challenges, working collaboratively with the hotel’s Guest Services team and hotel leadership
  • Always maintain professionalism consistent with hotel brand and company expectations
  • Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures
  • inform and assist guests in emergencies
  • Take on additional tasks as necessary or assigned by hotel leadership
