KHC is currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Supervisor to join their team. The role is integral to the successful operation of the hotel front desk, ensuring seamless coordination of front desk activities and delivering ultimate satisfaction to guests. This position involves managing reservations, handling guest complaints, overseeing room assignments, and addressing unusual guest requests. As a Front Desk Supervisor at KHC, you will work closely with other department heads to enhance the overall guest experience and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally. The role requires managing the reservation system, including inventory control, rates, and data security, as well as ensuring proper cash and credit card handling procedures are followed. Beyond managing front desk staff, the supervisor will monitor nightly audits for accuracy, prepare reports, and maintain front desk coverage at all times, including shift coverage when necessary. The position demands a hands-on approach, as the supervisor will also perform front desk duties and oversee roles such as Van Driver and Housemen to ensure smooth daily operations.
This role is not only pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency but also in upholding safety protocols, guest privacy, and emergency procedures. The Front Desk Supervisor will be a visible and approachable figure within the hotel, greeting guests warmly and ensuring their needs are met from check-in to check-out. This supervisory position typically manages between 1 to 15 front desk employees, carrying out responsibilities such as hiring, training, rewarding, and disciplining staff in accordance with KHC policies and applicable laws.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel front desk or hospitality service
- Leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of reservation systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and follow company policies
- Willingness to adhere to safety and emergency procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or hospitality customer service
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in managing reservation systems and front desk software
- Knowledge of cash and credit card handling procedures
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
- Familiarity with hotel safety and emergency protocols
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to train and motivate staff effectively
Job Duties
- Hire train schedule and assign duties and shifts to front desk workers and observe performances to ensure adherence to KHC policies and procedures
- Communicate and cooperate with other department heads to ensure coordination of activities resolution of guest complaints and improve hotel customer satisfaction
- Answer inquiries pertaining to property policies services guest complaints compliments and concerns
- Develop and maintain guest information files regarding the property community and surrounding attractions
- Manage the reservation system including inventory rates database system security reservations advance payments group reservations VIP special services pre-blocking rooms close out dates communication of fill dates and system backup
- Adhere to and train staff on cash and credit card handling procedures and file and post all changes to guest and city ledgers
- Greet all guests in a warm friendly helpful manner register and assign rooms ensuring proper payment methods and credit policy application
- Ensure guest safety by enforcing emergency and security procedures maintaining key security and guest privacy
- Patrol public rooms investigate disturbances resolve conflicts
- Monitor night audit for accuracy make assessments on open balances and take appropriate actions prepare reports on city ledger and guest trays
- Maintain front desk coverage at 100 percent cover shifts if needed including audit
- Train oversee and cover Van Driver and Housemen positions when necessary
