The role of the Hotel Guest Service Agent is crucial in upholding our mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences through talented and dedicated staff. This position is full-time with a 40-hour work week, including shifts during holidays and weekends to support constant guest needs. The work schedule requires flexibility with night audit shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM and evening guest service shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM. The Guest Service Agent is responsible for managing front desk operations that encompass welcoming guests warmly upon arrival, efficient check-ins and check-outs, and handling reservations with accuracy and care. This role demands strong communication skills to professionally handle guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high satisfaction levels. Additionally, the agent supports the hotel’s financial processes by processing payments securely, including foreign currency transactions, ensuring smooth and accurate billing. Coordination with housekeeping and room service teams to fulfill guest requests and room readiness is another key responsibility that enables seamless service delivery. Physical tasks such as assisting guests with luggage through lifting and bending are also part of the job to ensure a welcoming and accommodating environment. By performing these duties effectively, the Hotel Guest Service Agent plays a pivotal role in encouraging guest loyalty and generating positive reviews that enhance the hotel’s reputation.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to handle foreign currency transactions
  • Availability to work night and evening shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to lift and bend as required for the role

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferably but not required in the hospitality industry
  • Basic math skills for billing and handling foreign currency
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • Experience working in a hotel or similar hospitality environment
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population
  • Familiarity with additional phone systems and advanced billing software
  • Physical ability to lift and bend as required for luggage handling

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival providing a warm and professional first impression
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using hotel reservation and billing systems
  • Handle guest inquiries requests and complaints promptly ensuring effective problem resolution
  • Process payments including handling foreign currency transactions accurately and securely
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and room service teams to fulfill guest needs and maintain room readiness
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using phone and computer systems
  • Assist guests with special requests and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
  • Lift and bend as necessary to manage luggage and assist guests with their belongings
