The Hotel Group Sales Manager position at DoubleTree by Hilton Portland is a dynamic and pivotal role centered around driving revenue through strategic group sales initiatives. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of relevant sales experience in hotel or hospitality industry
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in Delphi, Cvent, and Hilton sales systems
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Portland, Oregon
- Competence in contract management and financial forecasting
- Capable of building and maintaining client relationships
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events and networking
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, group sales, or convention hotel sales
- Proven success in driving group room nights and event revenue
- Experience using Delphi or similar hotel sales software
- Familiarity with property management systems like PEP
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Demonstrated ability in business development and proactive prospecting
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
- Knowledge of contracts, legal considerations, AV products, event services, and meeting planning
- Sound financial acumen including understanding of P&L and revenue management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Delphi, Cvent, and CRM platforms
- Experience in corporate, association, government, or SMERF markets preferred
- Familiarity with Hilton brand systems and sales processes
Job Duties
