Job Description

HOTEL PASEO, Autograph Collection, is a distinguished boutique hotel located in the heart of Palm Desert, California. As part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO combines modern sophistication with the relaxed spirit of the desert, crafting a unique destination that is both vibrant and effortlessly refined. This luxury boutique hotel features 150 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites, many of which offer stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains and the surrounding palm-lined landscape. The hotel provides an array of amenities to ensure an exceptional guest experience, including a resort-style pool, an on-site spa, complimentary bicycles for exploring the area, and a selection of inspired dining options such as Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar, and Cafe Paseo. Situated along the world-famous El Paseo, guests enjoy convenient access to premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and lively nightlife, making the hotel an ideal gateway to both Palm Springs and the greater Coachella Valley.

We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead HOTEL PASEO and uphold its reputation as one of the Coachella Valley's premier luxury destinations. This executive role demands a dynamic hospitality leader with proven expertise managing boutique or luxury lifestyle hotels, ideally within a corporate or branded luxury environment. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property operations, financial performance, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. This position requires championing the hotel's strategic vision and driving its execution through innovative planning and decisive leadership. The successful candidate will foster a culture of excellence, empowering associates to deliver outstanding personalized service that creates memorable experiences for guests. This leadership role also involves active community engagement to enhance the hotel's local presence and impact.

In addition, the General Manager will manage financial performance by providing accurate forecasts and making timely staffing and operational adjustments. Partnering with corporate leadership and the commercial team, the individual will develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, strengthen the hotel's market position, elevate food and beverage offerings, guide capital investments, and capitalize on emerging market opportunities. Hands-on involvement in sales efforts, including property tours, presentations, and client meetings, will be essential to support business growth. The General Manager will also oversee the recruitment, training, development, and retention of top talent across all departments, fostering a respectful and productive work environment. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $185,000 to $200,000 per year, along with benefits such as standard hotel executive privileges, potential annual incentives based on performance, room and dining discounts across Marcus Hotels & Resorts and Marriott worldwide, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, company-paid life insurance, employee assistance programs, and a 401k plan with employer matching.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, boasts a rich 60-year history of operational and service excellence. Committed to creating extraordinary experiences for both guests and associates, the company is focused on growing its portfolio of 18 unique U.S.-based hotels and resorts, each known for its distinctive character and style. As an equal opportunity employer maintaining a drug-free workplace, Marcus Hotels & Resorts uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility in the United States.
