Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- no supervisory experience required
- valid Driver's License
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- must meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- valid Driver's License
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- ability to train and mentor other engineers
- familiarity with engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management
Job Duties
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- display proficiency in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management
- troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical devices, and guestroom items
- perform surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
- use Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
- operate engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management
- perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
- train and mentor other engineers
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
- follow company safety and security policies
- ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
- welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- develop and maintain positive working relationships
- move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested
