Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- valid driver's license
- ability to physically lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- ability to use stairs, ramps, and ladders
- meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
- comply with safety protocols and trainings
- ability to communicate clearly with guests and team
- follow company policies and procedures
- no supervisory experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- experience in general maintenance including surface preparation and painting
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of MEP systems
- familiarity with engineering computer programs
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- valid driver's license
- knowledge of safety and lockout/tagout procedures
- ability to train and mentor others
- professionalism in appearance and conduct
- ability to perform physical tasks required for maintenance work
Job Duties
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- carry and operate maintenance equipment
- identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
- communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
- display proficiency in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building management
- repair or replace PVC copper pipe
- troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical equipment, and guestroom items
- program TVs
- perform housekeeping engineering duties
- assist with surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood trim repair
- replace light bulbs and A/C filters
- use Lockout/Tagout system
- perform mid-level troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
- train and mentor engineers
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
- follow safety and security policies
- report maintenance problems and hazards
- complete safety training
- uphold uniform and personal appearance standards
- maintain confidentiality and protect assets
- welcome and acknowledge guests
- adhere to quality standards
- develop positive relationships and support team goals
- speak clearly and professionally
- move and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- use stairs, ramps, or ladders
- perform physical motions required for maintenance tasks
- enter work-related information using computers
- perform other reasonable duties as requested
