Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of hosting experience in a busy restaurant environment
  • ability to use OpenTable or similar reservation systems
  • availability to work evenings and weekends
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • willingness to engage with diverse clientele

Job Qualifications

  • a true passion for hosting
  • excellent communication skills both in person and on the phone
  • minimum one year of hosting experience in a busy restaurant
  • proficiency in OpenTable or similar reservation management systems
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • strong interpersonal skills to engage guests naturally
  • problem-solving skills to manage guest concerns effectively

Job Duties

  • greet guests warmly and manage the host stand
  • coordinate reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable
  • engage with guests to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere
  • handle telephone inquiries with clear communication and professional etiquette
  • assist in diffusing difficult situations with calm and tact
  • manage waitlists and guest flow efficiently
  • collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
