The Host/Hostess position at the Stadium Club is an essential role within the service team, dedicated to ensuring that every member and guest receives a warm welcome and seamless dining experience from the moment they arrive. This role involves greeting and escorting guests to their tables in a courteous, engaging, and professional manner while maintaining the floor plan and supporting the service staff as needed. The host or hostess also manages reservations and seating arrangements, monitors the completion of sidework tasks, updates menu information, and upholds the Club's etiquette and house rules. This position demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns diplomatically.

Additionally, the Host/Hostess is responsible for handling telephone calls, taking "To Go" and room service orders accurately, and assisting in training new employees. The role requires knowledge of restaurant operations, including proper table settings, service ware, and member relations, combined with the ability to navigate a busy dining environment efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, appropriate grooming, and adherence to Club policies and standards. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality that define the Stadium Club, ensuring that each guest's dining experience is enjoyable and meets the Club's promise of excellence. Job Requirements

Prior hospitality experience in full-service dining preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
Ability to remember menu items and communicate offerings
Ability to manage guest concerns with professionalism
Ability to work varying schedules as needed
Compliance with appearance and uniform standards
Punctuality and preparedness to work

Job Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Prior hospitality experience, preferably in full-service dining
Knowledge of restaurant operations including staffing, member relations, and etiquette
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Ability to remember and promote menu items
Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
Ability to move effectively through a crowded dining room
Ability to obtain required Club certifications or licenses such as TIPs or food handler’s card

Job Duties

Greet and escort members and their guests to tables in a courteous and engaging manner
Answer telephone calls and direct them appropriately
Maintain and update the floor plan and sidework sheets
Monitor and ensure completion of assigned tasks
Update and maintain the Stadium Club chalkboard menu
Understand and enforce Club house rules regarding attire, cell phone usage, and other policies
Take accurate "To Go" and room service orders
Thank guests upon departure and report any feedback to management
Monitor and be knowledgeable about special and upcoming Club events
Assist members, guests, and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner
Assist in training new employees
Maintain open communication between members, guests, management, and staff
