We are currently seeking a part-time Host/Hostess to join the team at The Met Balcony Lounge. This role is crucial in welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth seating process, which directly contributes to the overall dining experience. The position operates on a part-time schedule with flexible days and hours, providing a competitive pay rate of $23.25 per hour. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of previous hosting experience, demonstrating the ability to manage guest interactions with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them promptly and courteously based on availability and guest preferences.

You will be actively involved in maintaining a clean and safe environment by promoting sanitation standards and overseeing certain food-service procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of hosting experience preferred
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests and direct them to their tables based on availability or seating preference
- Create an enjoyable dining experience by promoting a safe, clean, and neat environment
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and team members
- Supervise activities of food-service associates ensuring proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation
- Train new food-service team members and assist with closing duties including side work and station setup
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and assist in evacuations if necessary
- Assist with occasional bussing and food service while adhering to food safety standards
