As a Host or Hostess at Kitchen + Kocktails, you will be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests as they arrive and farewelling them upon departure with warmth and professionalism. Your responsibilities extend beyond seating guests; you will manage wait times, maintain the guest list, and ensure that each guest feels welcomed and attended to from the moment they walk in. The position demands excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and coordinate smoothly with servers, bussers, and management. Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a friendly disposition are essential qualities to perform successfully.
Additionally, hosts and hostesses assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus and glasses and ensure that restrooms are clean and stocked. Job Requirements
- Must be able to read menus

- must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs)

- 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
- escort guests to assigned dining area
- present menus
- announce waiter's name
- Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
- Inform guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure smooth handoff to service staff
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
- Manage the flow of guests into dining and bar areas
- provide accurate wait times
- Tend to special guest needs and requests
- Observe guests' needs during dining experience to ensure high quality service
- Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
- Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables
