We are currently seeking a service-minded Host/Hostess to join our Front of Desk team. This role is vital to creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests as they are the first and last point of contact when visiting the restaurant. The ideal Host/Hostess possesses a warm and genuine personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with every guest professionally and tactfully. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a bright smile, managing seating arrangements in collaboration with the Maitre'd, handling reservations with systems like OpenTable, and promoting the brand by encouraging guests to return for future visits or special events. Candidates should be exceptionally organized, able to succeed in a team-based environment, and passionate about delivering hospitality excellence.

Job Requirements
- Professional, personable, and organized with a sense of humor and a passion for hospitality
- Open flexibility to work various shifts
- Ability to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone providing information and answering questions
- Experience as a host or hostess is highly preferred
- Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable or RESY is a plus
- Fluency in English

Job Duties
- Greet every guest warmly upon arrival and thank them sincerely as they depart, creating a memorable first and last impression
- Act as a brand ambassador by engaging guests with information about Carmine’s and Virgil’s locations and encouraging return visits
- Collaborate with the Maitre’d to manage seating arrangements and ensure smooth service
- Answer phones professionally and manage reservations using the OpenTable system
- Assist with accommodating large parties by rearranging tables as needed
- Build strong guest relationships by providing attentive service and helping guests feel at home
- Engage with potential guests inside and outside the restaurant, explaining menu options and inviting them to dine
- Support the front desk team to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
