Culinary Dropout is currently hiring for the Host position at a new restaurant location set to open this summer. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $18.00, depending on experience and qualifications, with employment being part-time or full-time as per flexibility needs. Employees working 25 hours or more per week also qualify for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. As a Host at Culinary Dropout, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating positive first impressions and ensuring a warm welcome to every visitor. Your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of the restaurant, managing wait times effectively, and communicating with managers to optimize guest seating. Hospitality is at the core of this role – going above and beyond for guests, remembering regulars' names and preferences, and anticipating their needs. You will have the opportunity to engage with guests by offering genuine menu recommendations, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food and beverage offerings. The host station must be kept clean and organized at all times, as it represents the establishment's professionalism and standards.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a bustling, fast-paced environment and can remain calm and effective under pressure. Strong communication skills and physical stamina for standing long periods and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds are necessary. Familiarity with POS systems and online reservation platforms such as OpenTable is advantageous. The position requires availability on weekends and select holidays, as well as flexibility to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operations.
