This role as a Host at Culinary Dropout represents an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The host position is integral to the smooth operation of the restaurant, functioning as the first point of contact for guests and setting the tone for their dining experience. This is a dynamic front-of-house role that requires excellent communication skills, a warm and approachable personality, and the ability to manage the flow of service efficiently. The host will manage reservations using digital systems such as OpenTable, attend to guest needs with poise, and collaborate closely with the management and service teams to ensure a seamless, welcoming environment.

- Experience in customer service or hospitality
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest
- Know regular guests’ names, preferences, and anticipate their needs
- Control the pace of the door and communicate with managers to control the flow of the restaurant
- Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations
- Keep it clean
- the host stand is a guests first impression
- Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
- Respond to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
- Understand POS systems and OpenTable (or other digital/online reservation systems)
