Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or food service industry preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • must be able to read and write
  • ability to determine wait times based on company procedures
  • team player with a positive attitude
  • strong organizational skills
  • knowledge of workplace safety procedures
  • physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and twisting

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or food service industry experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and seat guests
  • present menus and create a positive first impression
  • use a floor plan and follow a seating rotation to assign tables promoting guest satisfaction
  • provide accurately quoted wait times to support smooth guest flow
  • observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables
  • take guest information for waiting list and quote wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
  • clean, organize, and stock menus at host area
  • answer phone in a welcoming tone and questions concerning the menu and restaurant
  • interact with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experience
  • open the door for all guests
  • support teamwork to enhance the overall guest experience
  • take and fill to-go orders if applicable
  • maintain restroom cleanliness throughout shift
  • demonstrate ownership of sidework and closing tasks
