Job Description

Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse dedicated to delivering an unforgettable dining experience centered around the Culinary Art of Churrasco. With a rich heritage and a deep commitment to excellence, Fogo de Chao has established itself as a premier destination for guests seeking authentic Brazilian cuisine paired with impeccable service. The company’s mission goes beyond just serving exceptional food; it aims to ignite fire and joy by caring for its team, guests, and communities alike. By fostering a culture built on teamwork, integrity, humility, and excellence, Fogo de Chao creates an environment where both employees and guests feel valued and welcomed.

At Fogo, the emphasis is on bringing one’s best to the table every day, feeding a purposeful future starting with its team members. This approach translates to creating meaningful job opportunities and professional growth pathways at every level within the organization. The company strongly believes in nurturing its employees by providing fulfilling careers, personal development opportunities, and a supportive workplace culture. The vibrant values of Deixa Comigo—meaning "we’ve got you"—reinforce the company’s dedication to teamwork and mutual support.

Currently, Fogo de Chao is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Host/Hostess/Greeter. This role is pivotal in shaping the first impression and overall dining experience for guests. As a valued member of the front-of-house team, the Host or Hostess plays an essential role in greeting guests warmly, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow within the lobby area. The position demands a blend of professionalism, friendliness, and organizational skill to handle the dynamic environment of a busy restaurant. Hosts and Hostesses set the tone for guests’ visits, facilitating a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with Fogo de Chao’s high standards of service.

The role entails welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner, seating them appropriately, and maintaining the front lobby’s organization and cleanliness throughout the shift. Additionally, Hosts or Hostesses must manage competing demands efficiently and provide heartfelt farewells to departing guests, enhancing the overall hospitality experience. Shift duties may include beginning and closing responsibilities to ensure operational readiness and smooth team transitions.

This employment opportunity is hourly and offers a competitive pay range starting at $16.90 up to $19.90, depending on relevant work experience. Fogo de Chao values flexibility and availability, especially during weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of its guests and maintain service excellence. Beyond competitive compensation, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package to support its team members. Full-time hourly employees become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage are also provided where applicable. Furthermore, an array of voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance are available.

Part-time team members are not left out; they receive access to a minimum essential coverage health plan, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance with coverage potentially starting as early as the first month following their hire date. Voluntary benefits enrollment options, including pet insurance, legal protection, and identity protection, are also offered to part-time employees. Fogo de Chao is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and E Verify employer, demonstrating its commitment to diversity and fair employment practices in the workplace.

In summary, joining Fogo de Chao as a Host or Hostess means becoming part of a passionate team focused on delivering unparalleled guest experiences while supporting your career and personal growth.
