Job Description

Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain known for delivering an authentic Churrasco dining experience to its guests. Established with the passion to ignite fire and joy, Fogo de Chao focuses on the Culinary Art of Churrasco, providing guests with an unforgettable meal that showcases traditional Brazilian grilling techniques. As a company, Fogo de Chao places a strong emphasis on feeding a purposeful future by fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a supportive attitude summarized by their core value, 'Deixa Comigo' (we've got you!). This hospitality brand is committed to caring deeply for its team members, guests, and communities by creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.

At Fogo de Chao, team members are not only offered fulfilling job opportunities but also professional and personal growth paths at every level of their career. The company believes that bringing the best to the table every day starts with empowering its team. Fogo de Chao’s approach to employee engagement is centered on inclusion and mutual respect, underscoring their mission to ignite fire and joy internally and externally. The company also offers competitive benefits packages designed to support the health, financial well-being, and overall satisfaction of its employees.

The role of Host/Hostess/Greeter at Fogo de Chao is integral to shaping the guest experience from the moment they step through the door. This position involves warmly welcoming each guest with professionalism and friendliness, managing the seating arrangements to ensure an optimal dining flow, and maintaining the front lobby area to keep the environment inviting and organized. Hosts and Hostesses take on the responsibility of managing competing demands during busy periods, greeting guests, facilitating smooth transitions, and bidding them farewell with genuine care.

This role is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and value teamwork and excellent service. The position requires physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods and the ability to transport objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Flexibility is also critical as the candidate must be available to work weekends and holidays, aligning with the busiest times in restaurant operations.

Fogo de Chao invests in its employees by offering medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time team members shortly after hire, as well as life insurance and short-term disability coverage. Part-time staff receive access to a variety of health plans and voluntary benefits, ensuring the company's commitment to the well-being of its entire team. Compensation for this role starts at $16.90 per hour and can go up to $19.90, depending on relevant work experience, reflecting the company’s dedication to rewarding talent and commitment.

With a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment and compliance with E-Verify, Fogo de Chao maintains a diverse and inclusive workplace. Joining their team as a Host or Hostess means becoming part of a vibrant company culture where hospitality meets passion, and where every member plays a vital role in delivering a memorable guest experience.
