Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain recognized globally for its authentic churrasco-style dining experience. Founded with a passion for the culinary art of fire-grilled meats, Fogo de Chao has established itself as a leader in the upscale dining industry. The restaurant prides itself on delivering an unforgettable dining experience that combines traditional Brazilian flavors with exceptional hospitality to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. With locations throughout the United States and internationally, Fogo de Chao continues to expand its footprint while maintaining its commitment to quality and service.
At Fogo de Chao, the mission is to ignite fire and joy not only in the culinary creations but also in the care provided to team members, guests, and the surrounding communities. The company culture is deeply rooted in values such as teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a unique spirit summarized by the phrase "Deixa Comigo" – meaning "we've got you." This ethos encourages a supportive and inclusive environment where every team member is valued and empowered to contribute their best. Fogo de Chao believes that better futures are cultivated by bringing the best to the table every day, starting with investing in the growth and well-being of the team.
We are currently seeking Hosts / Hostesses / Greeters to join our dynamic front-of-house team. This position plays a pivotal role as the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment that reflects the restaurant's hospitality standards. As a Host or Hostess, you will greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor, facilitate the seating process, and ensure that the front lobby is kept organized, stocked, and clean throughout your shift. Managing the flow of guests efficiently is essential to maintaining a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
This role demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment, and a keen attention to detail. Hosts and Hostesses bid farewell to guests with the same warmth they greeted them, leaving a lasting positive impression. Responsibilities also include completing opening and closing shift duties as assigned, ensuring that the front-of-house operations run seamlessly.
Employment with Fogo de Chao offers more than just a job; it presents a fulfilling career path with ample opportunities for professional and personal growth at various levels. Our commitment to our team extends beyond the workplace through comprehensive benefits packages designed to support health, wellness, and financial security. Full-time hourly team members become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days and enjoy company-paid life insurance and short-term disability benefits where applicable. We also offer a wide range of voluntary benefits such as critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, and pet insurance.
Part-time team members are not left behind, with access to Minimum Essential Coverage health plans, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance soon after hire. Additional voluntary benefits for part-time staff include pet insurance, legal coverage, and identity protection. Fogo de Chao supports diversity and inclusion as an Equal Opportunity and E Verify Employer, dedicated to providing equitable employment opportunities for all candidates.
Joining Fogo de Chao means becoming part of a passionate, dedicated family where your contributions are valued, and your personal and professional development is prioritized. If you are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy working with people, and are ready to help create memorable experiences for guests, this is the ideal opportunity to start or continue your career in the vibrant restaurant industry.
