Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse celebrated for bringing the authentic Culinary Art of Churrasco to guests in an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. Established with a passion for delivering an unforgettable dining experience, Fogo de Chao has grown into a leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to quality, tradition, and exceptional guest service. The company operates multiple locations across the United States and internationally, making it a globally recognized brand that celebrates Brazilian culture and cuisine. Fogo de Chao is a full-service restaurant that specializes in fire-roasted meats carved tableside by skilled gauchos, complemented by an extensive salad bar and sophisticated wine offerings.
At the heart of Fogo de Chao's culture is the mission to ignite fire and joy by caring deeply for the team, guests, and communities. The company believes that better futures begin when everyone brings their best to the table every day. This commitment is reflected in their principle of Feeding a Purposeful Future, which prioritizes meaningful job opportunities and fosters a welcoming environment where every team member feels valued. Fogo de Chao promotes professional and personal growth across all levels, ensuring that employees have fulfilling careers within a culture grounded in teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and the spirit of "Deixa Comigo" (meaning "we've got you"). These values guide the daily operations and create a workplace that is supportive and engaging.
Fogo de Chao is currently hiring for the position of Host / Hostess / Greeter, a critical role responsible for setting the tone for guests' dining experiences. This role involves greeting guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step into the restaurant. The host or hostess manages guest seating by efficiently assigning tables appropriate to the size and preferences of each party to optimize flow and enhance satisfaction. Additionally, this position requires maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front lobby area throughout the shift to uphold the restaurant's inviting ambiance.
The Host / Hostess / Greeter will also face the challenge of managing competing demands effectively, such as accommodating waitlists, handling guest inquiries, and coordinating with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth operation. Greeting guests upon departure with a sincere farewell is equally important to leave a lasting positive impression. The role includes performing opening and closing shift duties as assigned, helping ensure that daily tasks and guest service standards are consistently met.
This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to transport objects up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods while maintaining a quick pace during busy times. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and holidays to meet the restaurant's operational needs. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth within a respected and well-established company.
Fogo de Chao offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of employment. The company provides company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage where applicable, along with voluntary benefit options like critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance. Part-time team members have access to a minimum essential health plan, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, with additional voluntary benefits including pet insurance, legal services, and identity protection. These benefits underscore Fogo de Chao’s dedication to supporting their team’s well-being.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, Fogo de Chao values the unique perspectives every employee brings and provides a supportive, equitable workplace. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences to join a company where their contributions matter and professional development is encouraged.
