As a host/hostess at Marriott Austin Downtown, you will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, responsible for greeting them warmly and professionally to ensure a positive dining impression from the outset. You will manage seating arrangements, effectively assign servers to different sections, and handle reservations to maintain optimal restaurant flow and guest satisfaction. Besides seating duties, you will also maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant entryway and assist with various side work and cleaning tasks essential for smooth operations.

Moreover, this role requires someone with extensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishing, to confidently answer guest questions and enhance their dining experience. The ability to process all forms of payment securely and efficiently is also a critical component of this role.
