The Host/Hostess-ToGo role at Ford’s Garage is essential in creating a positive and lasting first impression for guests. This position requires individuals who are warm, friendly, and energetic, capable of managing the efficient and timely seating of guests in the restaurant while also handling ToGo orders, reservations, and guest inquiries. Beyond seating duties, this role serves as a key point of contact for phone calls, including call-ahead seating arrangements, ensuring that every guest’s needs are attended to promptly and courteously.
The primary goal of the Host/Hostess-ToGo is to accelerate business development through exemplary customer service that encourages repeat visits and fosters brand loyalty. The role demands the ability to multitask—juggling phone calls, guest interactions, and computer tasks—while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor. Hosts and hostesses must be alert and responsive to both guests and team members, adapting quickly to the fast-paced environment of the restaurant.
Candidates for this position should be able to stand for extended periods, have the physical ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, and demonstrate excellent communication skills in English. Basic computer skills are also important for managing reservations and ToGo orders efficiently.
