This position is for the role of Hostess/Host within the Food and Beverage business unit at Crystal Mountain. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager and Supervisor, the Hostess/Host plays a crucial role in managing the flow and guest experience of the resort’s restaurant operations. They serve as the welcoming face for guests upon arrival, guiding them through the dining experience with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure during busy shifts, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Hostesses and hosts are responsible for orchestrating the seating arrangements based on server availability and pacing of service, ensuring that each guest’s dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. They maintain waitlists, provide accurate wait time estimates, and keep guests informed, all while handling inquiries about menus and hours. Additionally, they play an active role in supporting the restaurant staff by assisting with set up, cleanliness, and overall organization of the host stand and entry areas. This position requires standing for long periods and occasionally lifting or moving up to 20 pounds.
