The role of Host/Support at Karbach Brewing Company is a dynamic position focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, energetic pub environment. This role is essential as the first and last point of contact for guests, embodying the spirit and hospitality of Karbach. The Host/Support member is tasked with welcoming guests warmly, managing waitlists efficiently, and guiding visitors through the various areas of the pub with confidence and knowledge about all menu offerings, including in-house specials, to-go options, and retail items like packaged beer. Not only a greeter, the support staff works collaboratively with servers and bartenders by running food and drinks and bussing tables to maintain a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The position requires excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a friendly, approachable demeanor. As a key player on the front-of-house team, the Host/Support must balance guest interaction with behind-the-scenes support, ensuring that every shift runs smoothly and every guest leaves satisfied. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Stock retail, crayons, and menus at host stand
- Greet and de-greet every guest
- Help guests navigate different areas of the pub
- Manage waitlist and quote accurate wait times
- Communicate with servers and support team about table availability
- Talk about and sell retail and packaged beer
- Take to go- orders over the phone and in person, and quote accurate wait times
- Answer all phone calls professionally
- Keep pub clean: spot sweep floor, dust railing, clean windows
- Pre-bus tables as guests finish plates/drinks
- Communicate orders to the server when asked
- Completely bus tables when guests leave and wipe it down (sweep when necessary)
- Help support host and food runner
- Assist in all areas of the pub: bar, dining, entry
- Keep server line stocked: ketchup, water, ice and rolled silverware
- Listen to expo’s directions and take correct food to the correct table and seat position
- Help expedite food when the expo is off the line
- When there is no food coming up, help busser in the dining room
- Help communicate 86’s to FOH staff
