As a respected player in the hospitality industry, Columbia Hospitality oversees a variety of properties and services, including hotels, resorts, and dining establishments that are acclaimed for their quality and guest-centered approach. One of their standout venues is The Valley River Inn, a beautiful and popular destination for travelers and locals alike that offers outstanding accommodations and dining experiences. The Valley River Inn is home to Sweet Waters, a thriving restaurant well-regarded for its inviting atmosphere and excellent service. This establishment prides itself on creating memorable dining moments where guests feel warmly welcomed from the moment they arrive.
Joining the team as a Restaurant Host at Sweet Waters within The Valley River Inn means becoming an integral part of a company that places people and culture at the forefront. Columbia Hospitality believes in nurturing its employees through values-driven leadership, inclusivity, and opportunities for professional growth. The role of Restaurant Host is crucial as it sets the tone for the entire dining experience by greeting guests with genuine warmth and attentiveness. You will be responsible for managing the front-of-house seating, maintaining waitlists, providing accurate wait times, and ensuring smooth coordination with the waitstaff to maintain an efficient and pleasant flow of service.
This position offers an hourly wage of $16.00 and includes eligibility for tips and tip pooling, providing an opportunity to earn more based on your service excellence. As a part of Columbia Hospitality, you will have access to a range of competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, alongside 401K retirement plans and HSA/FSA accounts with employer contributions. The commitment to employee well-being is exemplified by paid time off, holiday pay, and an Employee Assistance Program dedicated to supporting your mental and physical health.
Beyond tangible benefits, Columbia Hospitality prides itself on fostering a culture that values diversity, welcomes fresh perspectives, and encourages involvement through committee participation in fun and philanthropic initiatives, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Extra perks such as discounted lodging, dining, spa, golf, and retail experiences augment the compensation package, making this a rewarding environment in which to grow your career.
As a Restaurant Host at Sweet Waters, your impact will be immediately visible as you contribute to creating seamless and enjoyable dining experiences. You will gain valuable experience and skills in guest relations, service flow management, and team collaboration. Columbia Hospitality also supports continued learning and career advancement through an online learning platform and task force work opportunities, opening pathways for longer-term growth. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy interacting with people, and thrive in a team-oriented, energetic environment, this role promises to be both fulfilling and exciting. Columbia Hospitality welcomes individuals who may not meet every single listed qualification but bring enthusiasm, authenticity, and the willingness to grow.
