42 Bar and Table Restaurant is a renowned dining establishment that operates seven days a week, offering guests an exceptional culinary experience with a proud reputation for quality and hospitality. Known for its standout brunch and lunch options on Sundays, 42 Bar and Table has gained significant acclaim, including a 4.8 out of 5 rating and a 100% recommendation rate on OpenTable. The restaurant was also voted the best Business Lunch in Soiree recommendations, underscoring its popularity among local patrons and visitors alike. What sets 42 Bar and Table apart is its commitment to making everything from scratch, including unique offerings like homemade ice cream, which contributes to an authentic, high-quality dining experience. The establishment fosters a family-friendly atmosphere dedicated to superior hospitality and delivering a Presidential experience to every guest who walks through its doors.
The Host role at 42 Bar and Table is pivotal to maintaining the restaurant's high standards of customer service and operational excellence. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host is entrusted with creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere from the moment guests arrive until they depart. This includes promptly greeting customers with a warm smile, efficiently managing seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant. Beyond greeting and seating, the Host is also responsible for handling reservations, managing wait lists during busy periods, and attending to special guest needs such as booster seats, high chairs, or accommodating disabilities. The role further extends to various support tasks, including ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining and serving areas. This multifaceted position requires someone who is highly organized, friendly, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Working at 42 Bar and Table means being part of a team that values attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and a commitment to excellence. The restaurant is part of the Clinton Presidential Center complex, which enhances the prestige of the position by connecting it to a broader mission of public service and community engagement. The Host will not only serve patrons seeking great food and service but also contribute to an institution that celebrates the legacy of President William Jefferson Clinton through education, culture, and civic leadership. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to work in a dynamic setting that combines high culinary standards with a purpose-driven organizational culture.
In addition to the direct responsibilities within the restaurant, the Host position offers a unique experience tied to the Clinton Presidential Center’s prominence and achievements. The center is home to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the offices of the Clinton Foundation, and partners with educational programs such as the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and the Presidential Leadership Scholars program. The environment promotes growth, learning, and a commitment to community service, aligning with the Foundation’s mission to create economic opportunity, improve public health, and inspire civic engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to build their career in hospitality within a prestigious and culturally significant setting. It requires a positive and proactive individual who thrives in a customer-facing role and embraces the values of teamwork, dedication, and service excellence.
